The radial geometry of the project resulted from an extremely narrow buildable area wrapping the steep incline of the mountain. A palette of natural cut-stone stucco color-matched to surrounding geology enables the residence to truly blend with the boulder-laden natural context. The project was designed and built using commercial techniques, with natural masonry and all-steel framing, and minimized site disturbance by integrating existing rock outcroppings into the foundations and configuration of the lower-level plan.
